BOOK I - "A Little Family Moves In" - In this heartwarming story, Bonnie, a young girl, is thrilled to be moving to a farm. She soon realizes that, although a farm can be great fun, there is also danger and a lot of hard work. More than anything she wants to become “Daddy’s little farm girl.” With a few mishaps and some humorous experiences, she accomplishes her goal. BOOK II - "Trouble, Mischief, and Adventure" - On the farm, everything is perfect, until Bonnie hears a strange sound. Could it be Maybelle? Then crows attack, lightning strikes, and trouble begins with Peter. In between, Bonnie and her cousins manage to enjoy plenty of adventure. When she tells a lie; however, everything is spoiled. BOOK III - "The Fire" Life on the farm is good. But, trouble is brewing. Something dreadful happens in the barnyard and other frightening things begin to take place. BOOK IV - "Fluffy" - Bonnie's summer vacation is not going as planned. The cute baby chicks she's been expecting are not coming, and there is something very wrong with Daddy. BOOK VII - "Saying Good-Bye" - Bonnie's idyllic life on the farm is threatened when her mother announces she wants to move.
Trusting God will not allow this to happen, Bonnie goes merrily on her way. Then, without warning, the owner of the farm asks her family to leave. Angry, Bonnie becomes bitter toward God.
